Printing and Embroidery Artwork
ARTWORK INFORMATION
The method of decorating we use to brand your products will determine what type of artwork file we require. This gets a bit complicated for most people who simply tell us what they want and and send what they have. For those of you who are more knowledgeable about digital art and file types please read on.
1. Four colour process printing is used for products such as business cards, photographic stubby holders, full colour fridge magnets etc. This requires a high resolution PDF file in CMYK with a resolution of 300 dpi and embedded text. In some cases a vector EPS file will work. All fonts need to be converted to outlines/curves.
2. General printing and screen printing used for pens, t shirts, stubby holders, desk items, golf balls, coffee mugs etc. requires a vector EPS file with all fonts converted to outlines/curves.
3. The best file for embroidery is a JPEG. Your logo will be redrawn and digitised before embroidery.
4. PMS Colours-PMS refers to Pantone Matching System. It is an international system to ensure colours are reproduced the same anywhere in the world. It is basically a way to determine a certain colour as a % mix of other standard colours. Similar to the way they mix paint at the hardware once you pick a colour.
